How Psychotherapy and Counseling are the Same

To a large degree, these terms are used interchangeably because the experiences of psychotherapy and counseling are very similar -- conversational explorations of what's troubling you to learn why and what to do about it.  Both therapists and counselors are trained to ask questions in a way that help you gain insight about your thoughts, feelings, habits, relationships, and choices.
